Design, layout and typographic illustration for Faces and Phases 2006-14, an important photo book of Zanele Muholi’s journey of ‘visual activism’ to ensure black queer and transgender visibility. Taken over the past eight years, the more than 250 portraits in the book are accompanied by testimonies by many of the subjects.
